The March for Monsato Chicago had an amazing turn out! The day of the march we were determined not to miss it or arrive a midst the ruckus as we normally do. We arrived actually 1.5 hours early somehow and felt like we missed the March (DOH!). Not only did we want to come down to march with others upset about the condition of our world & food but we wanted to document this for our future generations as well. A few passionate people can change the world or a large group of peoples feelings. This day was such a day. On this overcast morning tons of Chicagoans showed up of all races culture & creeds to let Monsanto know they were upset about the worlds enslavement due to seed & food control. If a company can control the seeds of life then they will eventually control the food supply & use it to initiate wars in the future for bare human essentials. It is really sad that the White House has bent over and allowed Monsanto to take over our food supply & then make the average honest united states citizen a criminal solely for planting their own unmodified seeds. Who does that?! Let alone allows the bill to pass with flying colors? No president can raise more campaigns funds than any other without having to payback ALOT OF FAVORS. Politics as usual it seems.
However the citizens of Chicago took the streets chanting in unison with signs “Hell No Gmo!” As we stood behind the speakers of the event documenting the crowd we saw alot of mixtures of ages, life & races. We saw the single mom with two kids, we saw the old lady barely able to walk, along with the punks, preps & jocks. It is very clear that the world is pissed & there should be labeling on all GMO products as well as other things put into place to help the future of our planet & human kind. Afterwards we were walking around networking with other photographers to get stopped by an elderly lady who seemed so nice, at first. She seemed sweet then announced very forcefully that she was a Christian Zionist and that what & how we felt about Monsanto (we use to live right behind the building in St Louis for almost a year) was out of place. Excuse me? She then goes on to attempt to insult us when we did nothing but remained respectful in every way. She tells one of us that “Your mother should hit you in the head with a spoon” as we bid her farewell with all due respect. WOW! To each his/her own but if you are for Monsanto then why are you here at 65+ years old? We respect all races culture & faiths so her demeanor didn’t make sense to us either but all in all Chicago came out to represent their opinion on Monsanto. Enjoy the gallery, WATCH WHAT YOU EAT, and take care of yourself. In reality health & happiness is the true wealth of living life.
